Mr. Errol Weerasinghe is an accomplished entrepreneur and the Chairman & CEO of Oryx Benodar Ltd., a leading apparel buying office operating in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into major U.S. and EU markets, supported by a strong global network of manufacturers across Asia and Africa.
With a diverse investment portfolio spanning apparel, education, technology, high-end furniture manufacturing, and real estate, Mr. Weerasinghe has played a significant role in shaping Sri Lanka’s business landscape. His apparel career began during a transformative phase of the industry, later serving as Sri Lanka Country Manager for R.H. Macy’s before founding Oryx Benodar.
He has held key industry positions, including Chairman of the Sri Lanka Garment Buying Offices Association and Director of the Textile Quota Board. In 2012, he co-founded the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM), now Sri Lanka’s leading private hospitality school. His recent ventures include advanced home-automation and AI technologies for the Middle East market.
