This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management Pvt Ltd. (otherwise known as CAHM / cahm.lk / Academy) website. We respect the privacy of anyone who interacts with us and is committed to protecting and managing personal and health information fairly and lawfully. We understand that you and other users of cahm.lk website are concerned about privacy and the security of any information you provide to us.
The personal information collected and held about you includes but is not limited to:
- your name, address, email address, age, gender, citizenship, National Identification Card / Passport Number, occupation, contact information;
- information about your education history and other related information if you have inquired through form submissions or are a student registered with us
- details of courses undertaken with us;
- any audio or video recording of you while in education or training programs at workshops either internally on our university and campus or externally;
- health and sensitive information and
- other information provided voluntarily by you, for example in response to surveys or competitions.
We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect, use, store and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, we rely on the accuracy of personal information as provided to us both directly and indirectly. If you find that the personal information, we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date, please contact us immediately and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.
User information may be shared with third-party vendors to the extent necessary to provide and improve web services or other communications to users. We prohibit any third parties who receive user information for this purpose from using or sharing user information for any purpose other than providing services for the benefit of our users.

Your Personal Information will also be shared with William Angliss Institute (RTO 3045), Australia for Registrations, Student Management Systems, Course Delivery, and Qualifications and Certifications.

We may disclose information in the course of investigations and lawsuits, in response to court orders, for the proper functioning of Academy, to protect the safety and wellbeing of individuals or the community, and as required by law.

You have the right to complain if you think the Academy has breached your privacy in the way it has handled your personal information. Complaints, also known as applications for internal review, should be made in writing within six months from when you first become aware of the breach to the Academy’s Assistant Director of Information via email.
